I have a desk top (Microsoft XP ) using Outlook Express and a lap top ( Microsoft Vista ) using Windows Mail. When I log on either the desktop or the laptop I always check if I have any emails. Whichever I use first, downloads any new emails and sometimes they are answering an email I have sent on the other computer. This can be very inconvenient. Is there any way for all my emails to be collected by both my computers, or if this is not possible can I download emails from one computer to the other.

I'm assuming you are receiving mail from a POP server, and once you receive emails on one computer they are no longer on the server any more - so the other computer can't receive them.
Somewhere in account settings there is a setting called 'Leave a copy of message on the server'.
If you tick the check box then the message will be left on the server after that particular computer has received it (you may wish to do this on both computers).
I'm using outlook 2007, and it's under Tools>Account Settings>(select your email account) Change>More Settings>Advanced.
The only problem with this is that your mailbox on the server could become full, as the emails are never being deleted.
What you could do is leave the checkbox unticked for whichever is your main computer (so they are deleted from the server whenever your main computer receives them), and on your secondary computer leave it ticked (so they are still on the server and your main computer will be able to receive it later).
I think people who receive mail on more than one computer benefit from using IMAP rather than POP, but I don't think many email servers provide this.
There is also webmail, if provided by your email provider, where you can just log in via a website and read your mail.
Hope any of this is helpful.

For info. re. Outlook EXPRESS and leaving msgs on Server:
1. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
2. Click the e-mail account, and then click Properties.
3. Click the Advanced tab, and then select Leave a copy of messages on server.
To prevent the server filling up with redundant messages, select the "number of days to leave msgs on server" check box below ( I use 2 days - yet be advised that if you leave them on the server, every time you check for new messages it will download your old ones too :-) ).
Sorry, I don't know if it's exactly the same in Win 7 Mail, yet I'm sure that it will be there somewhere... a bit of detective work and you'll be fine!
so, set your laptop to leave on server for 1 or 2 days to suit your schedules and access from both PCs, with auto deletion shortly afterwards. ;-)) As a ps.: only set this on ONE machine (the laptop), else when you go on holiday, etc. there'll be nothing on your return!!
(I really must get Win 7 Mail at some time this year!)
